Sometimes, a simple top 8 crystals blog won’t quite suffice. Sometimes, a small refresher is just perfect.

For the newly crystal curious and the crystal expert alike, a straightforward, no fluff reference for all the basic crystals you may need is golden. It is the place you look back to when you just cant quiiiite place the name of that one stone. How do crystals work?

They work by energetically charging, grounding, rebalancing or energizing our own vibrations. Every single thing in the world has energetic and vibrational patterns. For humans, these patterns can and do change very frequently. For crystals, however, those patterns do not change. The geometric molecular pattern of crystals is a fixed thing. This means that we can learn and predict how their energetic patterns can effect ours at any given moment, and apply it when the time calls for it.

 

The Benefits of Crystals

In a word: endless. The benefits of crystal healing are widespread and are created through many modalities. The most common benefits of crystal use for individuals are often based on calming, decreasing anxiety, increasing focus, and overall mood lifting. The benefits can also shift from person to person, and what may work for one person may not work for another.

 How to Choose Crystals

Most of the time, people make this too complicated.

Here it is, super simple for you: listen to your gut.

If you walk into a crystal shop and your eyes immediately go to the back of the room, explore that and listen to yourself. You may think you came in here for a new stone to bring in a bump in your paycheck, but a gorgeous self-love vibing crystal may be calling your name.

I said it best during Crystals 101: “When you are shopping, close your eyes for a second and really feel into the vibration you may be getting from a stone or group of stones. Be clear with your intention for the crystal of your choosing, and let it choose you. You will most likely know intuitively if a crystal is right for you. “

If you are really struggling, you can absolutely ask the store clerk about their thoughts or recommendations. Most crystal shop owners are incredibly well versed and passionate about everything crystal, and they will have some great insight for you.

1. Clear Quartz

Perhaps the most well-known crystal out there, Clear Quartz is the all-star of the team. It is a multi-use tool for energetics, able to clear negative vibrations, enhance psychic ability, improves concentration, and aligns chakras.
